SCOTLAND IN A WEEK!

Climbing in Scotland

Crianlarich is at the heart of a famous climbing area and the visitor is spoilt for choice in terms of Munros and Corbetts with over 30 within close range. Crianlarich is in the district of Breadalbane ("Brághad Albainn") which translates as "high country of Scotland". Many of our bedrooms enjoy commanding views of the iconic Ben More and Stob Binnein. Our staff will be happy to advise you on interesting local climbs and we have a good bootroom to air your kit after a long day.

Munro Bagging

Munros are Scottish mountains who’s height exceeds 3,000 feet (914.4 meters).  There are 283 such Munros in Scotland and a further 227 subsidiary peaks.  There are over 30 Munro’s who’s starting point is within 20 minutes’ of Crianlarich, of which the following 16 Munros can be conveniently climbed direct from the village of Crianlarich WITHOUT the need for any vehicular transport.  This makes Crianlarich an ideal base for “Munro Bagging”.  We have a dedicated Munro Bagging page - Click Here.
